I saw this YSL JUNE BOX BAG and fell for it right away. That classic style, you know? I just had to try to make one myself. So, I started gathering all the stuff I needed.
First, I found a good pattern online. It wasn’t exactly the same, but close enough. I printed it out and got some nice black leather. I’m not a pro at this, but I do have a sewing machine at home. I carefully cut out all the leather pieces according to the pattern. It took a while, and I had to be super precise.
Sewing it up
- I started by sewing the main body pieces together.
- Then, I added the sides, which was a bit tricky because of the boxy shape.
- The flap was next. I made sure the edges were nice and straight.
My hands were pretty tired, but I kept going. I wanted to see the finished product. I also got a gold chain and a YSL logo thingy from a craft store online. It looked pretty similar to the real one. I attached it to the flap, and it really started to look like a designer bag!

I sewed the chain on, and boom! It was done! It wasn’t perfect, a few stitches here and there that weren’t so straight, but overall, I was super proud of myself. I made a YSL-style bag all by myself!
Wearing it out the other day, a couple of my friends asked where I got it. They were pretty shocked when I told them I made it. It’s not exactly like the real YSL JUNE BOX BAG, but it’s got that vibe. And hey, I saved a ton of money too!
