You know, I heard some folks talking ’bout them fancy watches the other day, them Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph things. Sounded like a mouthful to me! They say it for the “Specialty Stores”. I don’t know what’s the matter with that.
They was goin’ on and on ’bout how these watches, they got two faces or somethin’. You flip ’em around like a flapjack! One fella, he said it was called “Reverso” ’cause it means “I turn around” in some fancy language. Latin, maybe? Who knows. I ain’t never needed to turn my watch around.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre, they started makin’ these flippin’ watches way back in 1931. That’s before my time, I tell ya! Seems like a silly idea to me. Why you need a watch that flips? Just to show off, I reckon.
Now, some folks, they like to buy them fake ones. They called ’em “Imitation” ones. Cheaper, you see. But I heard these Jaeger-LeCoultre, they’re made real good. Hard to copy, they say. All them little gears and whatnot, it’s like a tiny little machine on your wrist!

They make these watches all different, you know. Different colors, different shiny stuff on ’em. That JLC, they got a whole bunch of different kinds. Some of them are real complicated. I don’t know how they keep track of all that!
And this Reverso thing, it’s got that blank side, right? The side you flip to. Well, folks like to put all sorts of things on there. Their initials, pictures, little messages. Some use paint, some carve it in. It’s like a little secret message on your watch!
And I tell ya, these watches ain’t small! Almost 50 of them little millimeter things long, and 30 wide. That’s bigger than my thumb! And they’re thick, too! Over 11 of them millimeters. They got all them little parts inside, they call it the “movement”. This one, they call it “Caliber 860”. Don’t ask me what that means. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a car, not a watch! It is based on the old one, you know, the “Caliber 829”. They made it in 1998.
This Reverso, it’s the most popular one they make, this Jaeger-LeCoultre company. It’s got a square-ish shape. That’s how you know it’s a Reverso.
I’ll tell ya some more about this Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph. Some people, they just want a simple one. Just a metal back, nothing fancy. Those are probably cheaper, I bet.

I don’t need no fancy flippin’ watch to tell me when it’s time for supper! And I don’t need to spend all my money on some Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, neither!
I don’t know why folks is so excited about these Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph. You know, I had an old watch once. It didn’t flip, but it told time just fine. Lost it in the garden one year, though. Probably still out there somewhere, tickin’ away. These new watches, they sure are somethin’ else. All that flippin’ and gold and whatnot. Give me a simple watch any day. One that just tells time. That’s all I need.
